- Includes & Excludes
Embark on an unforgettable Bhutan Trek that begins at the historic Drukgyel Dzong in the scenic Paro Valley. Spanning altitudes from 2,280 m up to 4,930 m, and occasionally surpassing 5,224 m, this trek offers a blend of cultural immersion and breathtaking Himalayan landscapes. Starting with gentle climbs past terraced millet and rice fields, you’ll pass through verdant valleys dotted with traditional farmhouses before entering the pristine Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Park.
Campsites at Jangothang or the Jomolhari Base Camps, which include a day for acclimatization, are among the most spectacular in the Himalayas. Along the route, trekkers cross glacier valleys, moraines, and several windy mountain passes, all offering panoramic views of towering peaks before eventually descending toward Thimphu, marking the end of this extraordinary journey.
Fitness Requirements
Joining a Bhutan Trek requires a good level of physical fitness and endurance to fully enjoy the experience. The trails traverse long, rugged terrains at high altitudes, so we strongly recommend pre-trek fitness preparation.
Team & Equipment
Our professional team includes certified guides, skilled cooks, and assistants to ensure a seamless trek. Ponies and yaks, guided by their owners, carry all trekking equipment to the campsites. Equipment provided includes dining and toilet tents, twin-sharing sleeping tents, mattresses, foldable tables and chairs, plates, washing bowls with warm water, a basic first aid kit, and beverages.
Meals on Trek
All meals are included and prepared with fresh, healthy ingredients. Breakfasts include toast, cereals, fruits, eggs, pancakes, sausages or bacon, milk, coffee, and tea. Lunch is typically a hot packed meal, while dinners feature fresh meats, vegetables, and local Bhutanese specialties.
Accommodation
Campsites are selected near water sources and in scenic locations such as pine-covered valleys, serene hinterlands, lakesides, or remote wilderness areas. Cleanliness and comfort are always prioritized.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all trekkers on a Bhutan Trek. It should cover all planned activities, health emergencies, lost items, and unforeseen events, including natural disasters, as the company cannot assume liability.
Sustainable Trekking
We encourage all trekkers to support Bhutan’s pristine environment by practicing eco-friendly trekking. Respect, preserve, and keep the natural surroundings clean to protect fragile ecosystems.
